Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. H. M. Jarrard, age 78 of Dahlonega. Mr. Jarrard passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 13, 2009 from the funeral home chapel, the Rev. Ronnie Dockery and the Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate. Interment will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Jarrard was born on March 23, 1931 in Lumpkin County to Joe Jarrard and Alice Corbin Jarrard. He served with honor in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was retired from Talon. The youngest of 13 children, Mr. Jarrard is preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Perkins, Bennie Stancil, Valentine Jarrard, Christella Jarrard and brothers, Emory Jarrard, Richard Jarrard, Ernest Jarrard, Junior Jarrard, Edward Jarrard, David Jarrard and Robert Jarrard. Mr. Jarrard was as a loving and dedicated husband and father and a friend to all who knew him
Mr. Jarrard was survived by his wife of 53 years, Agnes Jarrard, Dahlonega; daughter and son in law, Beverly & Tom Vincent, Dahlonega; son and daughter in law, Larry & Donna Jarrard also of Dahlonega; sister, Loudean Seabolt of Cleveland; grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Vincent and Chelsea Jarrard
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM
