Sara W. Danner

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Sara Wilcox Danner, age 86, of Jefferson, formerly of Manchester, GA, who passed away on August 10, 2009. Mrs. Danner was born on November 24, 1922 in Lagrange, GA, a daughter to the late Murray Joel Wilcox and was raised by her late step-father John Isaiah Hudson and her late mother Nonie Schultz Hudson. Mrs. Danner was a retired seamstress and florist. Mrs. Danner was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Manchester, GA. Mrs. Danner was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Danner and her sister, Mary Jo Wilcox.

Survivors include daughter and son in law, Anita and Al Westmoreland, Jefferson, son and daughter in law, David and Marilyn Danner, Manchester, sisters, Johnnie Parker, Dadeville, AL and Helen Horne, Talladega, AL; 3 Grandchildren, Elizabeth Danner, Jennifer Sawyer and Jeff Westmoreland; 5 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 2:00pm CST in the Chapel of the Clay County Funeral Home in Ashland, Alabama with Rev. Jim Pate officiating. The burial will follow in the Clay County Memory Gardens, the visitation will be held on Thursday from 1-2pm CST in the Clay County Funeral Home. Honored as pallbearers will be, Chris Sawyer, Michael Parker, Paul Horne, Paul Horne Jr., Jeff Horne and Joey Gay.
