Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Robert Daniel Sutton, age 60 of Cleveland. Mr. Sutton passed away Tuesday, August 04, 2009 at his residence following a sudden illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 6, 2009 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Matt Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park
Mr. Sutton was born on July 4, `1949 in White County to Ernest Sutton and Mamie Pruitt Sutton. For several years he was Maintenance Lead Person Supervisor and Security Guard at Talon and was also employed with Clark-Schwebel Fiberglass Corporation, Allied Barton Security and Fredenberg-USA Security. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Lumpkin County and is preceded in death by his father, Ernest Sutton, sisiter, Lunette Sutton, brothers, James Harold Sutton and Lewis Sutton.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Alice Jarrard Sutton, Cleveland; son, Jason Sutton, Cleveland ; mother, Mamie Sutton, Cleveland; brothers Freddie Sutton, Cleveland, Eddie Sutton, Cleveland, Victor Owenby, Cleveland, Harley Owenby, Cleveland and Billy Owenby also of Cleveland; sister, Patricia Shook, Clarkesville; grandchildren, Joshua Sutton and Marc Sutton
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening after 7 PM, all day Wednesday and until the funeral hour on Thursday
