Virginia Rector Murphy

Virginia Rector Murphy, age 65 of Hubert Pittman Rd., Pendergrass, Georgia passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.



Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 3, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Gratin Helms officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 5-8pm at the funeral home.



Mrs. Murphy was born March 8, 1944 in Pahokee, Florida to the late Mr. Raymond Roy Rector Sr. and Janet Helms Rector. She worked as a teacher at Tadmore Elementary School for 32 years, nine years substitute teaching at various schools in Hall County. The substituting was done because of her love for children. She was a member of Talmo Baptist Church.



She is survived by her husband, William Murphy, son and wife, Randy and Tracey, three beloved grandchildren, Trevor, Lauren and Bryan all of Pendergrass, Georgia, mother, Janet Rector of Flowery Branch, Georgia, sister, Susan Rector, brothers, Ray Rector, Jr of Gillsville, Georgia and John Rector of Mount Airy, Georgia, along with a number of nieces and nephews.



Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Road, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of arrangements.
