Marvin Douglas Satterfield

Marvin Douglas Satterfield age 55 of Lawson Drive, Gainesville passed away July 30, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.


Doug was born in Hall County on March 30, 1954 to the late Marvin and Annie Bell Satterfield. He worked at New Holland Mill and Peachtree Doors, and was a member of Masonic Lodge # 512. He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, brother, son, and papa. Doug was a great man and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Larry Satterfield.



Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara J. Satterfield of Gainesville, sons and daughter in law, Chris & Carrie Satterfield of Murrayville, Devin Satterfield of Gainesville, & Mitch Buffington of Gainesville; daughters and sons in law, Misty & Paul Watson of Flowery Branch, Mickie & Martin Buntyn of Gainesville, & Amanda Palmour of Gainesville; grandchildren, Cortney Bradford, Carli Satterfield, Ava & Andrew Ross, Makayla, Meisha, & Mya Buntyn, Braylon & Aniyah Boyd; sisters & brothers in law, Susan & Nelson Hicks of Gainesville & Cathy & Kielis Hicks of Gainesville; nieces & nephews, Cyndi & Javi Montemayor, Tim & Mardie Hicks, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins will share our loss.



Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 1, 2009 at the Mason & Ward Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Osteen officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends from 5-8 Friday at the funeral home.
