Rose Marie Strickland Teske

Rose Marie Strickland Teske of Dunwoody died on Saturday, July 25, 2009 after a valiant battle against several illnesses. She was born on Oct. 13, 1924 in Charleston, SC, one of 14 children of John Marshall and Agnes Riley Strickland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers John, Frank, James, Larry and Charles; her sisters Mary, Virginia, Marguerite, Kitty, Barbara and Betty.

A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and great-grandmother, Rose was a talented artist and homemaker who was a devout founding member of All Saints Catholic Church.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Frank; her five children: Karen Buttermore (King), Ray Teske, Tim Teske, Julie Hillyer, and Steve Teske; five grandchildren: Hunter Teske (Joanna), Blake Teske, Molly Walker (Jimmy), Katy Maclaga (Brian) and Tyler Hillyer; four great-grandchildren: Davis and Braden Teske, and Riley King and Andrew Walker; her brother George Strickland, sister Doris Arnot (Joe), sister-in-law Kay Strickland, and many nieces and nephews.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29 at All Saints Catholic Church, the Rev. Msgr. R. Donald Kiernan officiating. A reception will follow in the church social hall.
