Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Anita Marilynn Meaders , age 52 of Lula. Mrs. Meaders passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness
Funeral services are scheduled for 2;00 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2009 from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Kyle Savage officiating. Interment will follow in the Skitts Mt. Baptist Church Cemetery
Mrs. Meaders was born on November 11, 1956 to Herbert Warick and Nellie Ledford Warwick. In 1982, Anita and her husband, David began turning pottery, coning from a long line of pottery turners, her great great grandfather was William Asbury Warwick, one the pioneer potters in the area. She fashioned her pottery after that of Arie Meaders and was best know for her unique artwork that she include in her pottery work. She had a great love of animals, both large and small and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Herbert Warwick
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, David Meaders, Lula; mother ,Nellie Ledford Warwick, Cleveland; sisters, Carolyn Lanier, Cleveland, Catherine Wood, Cleveland and Debra Carder, Cleveland; brothers, Thomas Warwick, Cleveland, Eugene Warwick, Cleveland, Wyman Warwick, Cleveland and Rondal Warwick also of Cleveland
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM
