A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Oconee Hill Cemetery in Athens, GA for Ralph LaCount, 81 of Gainesville. Rev. Brian Malcolm will officiate. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville.
Mr. LaCount was born on November 19, 1927, in Charleston, SC but had lived most of his life in this area. He was in the U.S. Air Force in World War II. He was a retired self employed plumber. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife of over 20 years, Joyce Marie Bradley LaCount who passed away in Athens in 1968, his second wife of 35 years, Mozell Little LaCount who passed away in Gainesville in 2005 and his son, Ralph Benny LaCount.

He is survived by daughter, Linda LaCount Stokes of Gainesville; two step daughters; Ann Bryant and Brenda Howser, five granddaughters, Brooke Stokes Reid, Dana Howser Griffin, Dawn Howser Gowan, Kim Bryant Gerrin, Misty Bryant Brock all of Gainesville; one grandson Brandon Bryant of Gainesville, eight great grandchildren McKenzie Bell, Cooper Reid, Taylor Reid, Matthew Gerrin, Briana Gerrin, Jared Miller, Emma Gowan, Haden Brock and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
