Alton I. Hughes

Alton I. Hughes, age 79 of Buford, Georgia, died suddenly on Sunday, July 19, 2009. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Danny Newbern and Rev. Paul Wade will officiate. Interment will follow in Sugar Hill Cemetery, Sugar Hill, Georgia. The Family will receive friends Monday, July 20, 2009 from 6-9 pm and Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Zion Hill Baptist Church Building Fund. Mr. Hughes was preceded in death by his parents Hester and C.D. Hughes and mother in-law and father in-law Ernestine and Glen Brock. Alton is survived by his wife of 49 years Christine Hughes, Buford; Children, Kristi Stewart, Buford, Dianne and Kirk Hughes, Buford; Grandchildren, Ashleigh Hughes and Wesley Hughes, Buford; Sister and Brother In-law, Winnie Boyd â
