Taylor Carwell "T.C." Odell
May 27, 1914 - July 14, 2009

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 17,
2009 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel for Mr.
Taylor Carwell "T.C." Odell, 95 of Gainesville. The Rev.
Phil Williams and the Rev. Glenn Parrish will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The
family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday
July 16, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Odell died
Tuesday July 14, 2009.

A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mr. Odell was the son of
the late U.S.,Sr. and Lavada Shankle Odell. He was the
owner of Odell Pipe Company. Mr. Odell was a member of the
Gainesville Evening Optimist Club for over 40 years, serving
as President for two terms. He was a member of the Oakwood
First United Methodist Church and the Westbrook Sunday
School Class.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the
Oakwood First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen Watkins Odell,
Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law; Earl and Patricia
Odell, Oakwood; grandson and wife, Wade and Anita Odell,
Sharpsburg, Ga.; great granddaughters; Megan Odell and
Ashley Daniel; Sister, Louise Lee, Gainesville; sisters-in-
law; Estelle Odell, Oakwood and Susie Odell, Chicopee. A
number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family has asked that members of the Gainesville Evening
Optimist Club serve as honorary pallbearers and please
assemble at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
