Ruby Mae Hamby

Mrs. Ruby Mae Hamby, age 79, Cumming, GA, passed away Monday, July 13, 2009. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, John Elgbert Bolton; mother, Alma Bolton; brothers, James and Bobby Bolton. She was the loving wife of Manuard Linzy Hamby.


Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Manuard Linzy Hamby; sons and daughters-in-law, Clendon and Betty Hamby, Tommy and Delores Hamby and Terry Joe and Vickie Hamby; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Greg Wallis; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Talmadge and Eulene Bolton and Bill Bolton; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Glover and the late Jimmy Glover, Sara and Bob Cloud; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.


Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 16th at 2:00 pm at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Bennett, Rev. John Lummus, Rev. Garry English, Rev. Tim Hamby, Rev. Toby Hamby and Rev. Larmon Barron officiating. Mrs. Hamby will lie in state at the church at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 14th from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm, Wednesday, July 15th from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm and Thursday, July 16th from 10:00 am until the hour of service.
