Melvin Seagle Barnhardt

Melvin Seagle Barnhardt, age 86, of Manchester, TN, passed away July 10, 2009 at the Manchester Health Care Center.

He was born October 27, 1922 in Lexington, North Carolina to the late James and Damaris Barnhardt. In earlier years he worked as a TV technician and was a member of First Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife who passed away in 2007, Mary Gretchen Keener Barnhardt; brothers, Adam, Henry, Jack, and Lee Barnhardt; sisters, Betty Leonard, Hattie B. Cope, Lucille Ferguson, Sadie Barnhardt, and Pearl Tysinger.

His survivors include son, Larry Barnhardt of Manchester; daughter, Linda (Ronnie) White of Texas; one grandchild, Barry (Sada) White and great-grandchild, Michael Patrick White, all of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Beck Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 6 PM to 8 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 10 AM at Wolffork Baptist Church with Rev. James Greer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
