Frances Ruth Moore

Frances Ruth Moore, age 90 of Cornelia, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at BJC Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Born in Habersham County on May 24, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Carrie Gaddie Zimmerman. Mrs. Moore was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George W. Moore; sisters, Lucille Jones, Lois Zimmerman and Ruby Zimmerman and brother, John Zimmerman.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Milli & Joe Pezzuto of Maysville; son and daughter-in-law, George T. & Ruth Moore of Toccoa; sisters, Louise Grant of Montgomery, Alabama and Annie Bell York of Mt. Airy; also surviving are four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 1:00 pm Friday, July 10, 2009, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Pastor Charles Crabbe officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Thursday.
