Bertha Ruth Schwind

Bertha Ruth Schwind, age 82 of Dahlonega, Georgia passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Memorial services are scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Royce Winters will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 1 pm till funeral hour, 2:00 pm, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Schwind was born September 12, 1926 in Beaver Falls, PA to the late Frank Wilson and Ann Barnes Wilson. She was a retired CRN where she had worked at several nursing homes. Mrs. Schwind was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Glenn Wallace Spooner, her 2nd husband, William Thome and her son, William Thome, Jr.

Mrs. Schwind is survived by her husband, Lawrence Schwind of Dahlonega, three sons, Glenn Spooner of Gainesville, Richard Thome of Cleveland and Terry Thome of Florida, 6 grandchildren, Glenna Jones, David Spooner, Sherrie Virgo, Victor Thome, Lisa Thome and Richard Thome, and a number of great-grandchildren.
