Jay H. Pruett

Jay H. Pruett, 69, of Dawsonville died Wednesday July 1, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Born in Dawson County, he lived a number of years in Orlando, Florida before returning to Dawson County 29 years ago. Mr. Pruett retired from Northlake Construction Co. as a superintendent of commercial construction after over 20 years of service. He was a U. S. Army veteran of was preceded in death by his father, Edward Pruett.

Surviving are his wife, Janet Pruett, Dawsonville; children, Jason and Heather Pruett, Cumming, Chris Pruett, Dawsonville; grandchildren, Devin Pruett, Dahlonega, Miranda Pruett, Dahlonega, Hunter Pruett, Cumming; mother, Venitta Pruett, Dawsonville; sisters, Brenda Pruett, Dawsonville, Faye Pruett, Dawsonville, Sharon Pruett, Dawsonville, Gail Walker, Dawsonville; brothers, James Pruett, Dawsonville, Walter Pruett, Dawsonville.

Graveside services will be held Saturday July 4, 2009 at 11 oâ
