Flossie Autrey McMahan

Flossie Autrey McMahan, age 71, of Cornelia, passed away July 1, 2009 at the residence following an extened illness.



Born in Burnsville, NC on September 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy Carroway Autrey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Floyd, Arthur, Bill, Bob, and Charles Autrey, sister, Mary Lou Autrey.

Mrs. McMahan was a member of the Cornelia Christian Church. She was a homemaker and a private duty nurse in home health care.



Survivors include husband, Marshall McMahan, Cornelia, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Ricky Jackson, Cornelia, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Penny McMahan, Homer, GA; brothers, Jay Autrey, Burnesville, NC, and James Autrey, Waynesville, NC; 4 grandchildren, Joshua and Cody McMahan, Taylor and Alyssa Jackson.



Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with David Terrell and Rev. Phillip Yarber. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 p.m. until the funeral hour on Friday, July 3, 2009.
