Junior Dyer

Obituary Date: Saturday, June 13, 2009
Junior Dyer, age 57 of Lula, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Grady Memorial Hospital following injuries sustained in a logging accident.

Born in Jackson County on June 13, 1952, he was the son of the late Hubert and Thelma Armour Dyer. He was self employed in the logging industry and was of the Holiness faith. Junior enjoyed riding his Harley and was a loving husband, father and Papa. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Tony Lamar Dyer.

Surviving are wife, Paula Dyer of Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Sonya & Kelvin Sloan of Rabbittown; son, Brett Dyer of Lula; grandsons, Brandon Kody Sloan and Thomas Boone Sloan; special friends, Harold & Cindy Dockery of Lula and Kevin Magness of Lula; brother-in-law, John Barrett of Lula; brother and sister-in-law, Dilliard & Doris Dyer of Lula; sister and brother-in-law, Janice & Walter Hall of Royston; sister-in-law, Amanda Dyer of Maysville; Junior is also survived by a host of other close friends.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2009, from the Lula Assembly of Praise with Rev. Lanier Tatum, Rev. Woodie Hicks and Rev. Tim Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in Living Mission United Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-9 pm on Monday and Tuesday. The family is at the residence.
