Irene Thomas Grizzle

Irene Thomas Grizzle, age 84, of East May Street, Winder, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 8, 2009 at Winder Heath Care, Winder, Georgia following an extended illness.


Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.


Mrs. Grizzle was born August 25, 1925 in Hall County, Georgia to the late Bighum Kidd and Isebelle Pilgrim Kidd. She retired from Piedmont Laboratories and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Grizzle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dello Grizzle and her son, Paul L. Thomas.


Mrs. Grizzle is survived by her daughter, Linda S. Wilson of Winder, sons & daughters-in-laws, Larry & Barbara Ann Thomas of Oakwood, Danny & Leslie Thomas of Gainesville and Gary & Brenda Thomas of Winder, 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
