Eunice Mae Smith Frye

Funeral services for Eunice Mae Smith Frye, age 93, of Clarkesville, will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 3:00 PM from the Hillside Memorial Chapel. Rev. Grady Walden will officiate with burial to follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Frye passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at Habersham County Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Born May 27, 1916 in Habersham County, Mrs. Frye was the daughter of the late Raleigh and Lizzie Mae York Smith. Mrs. Frye was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church and the Clarkesville Home Demonstration Club. Mrs. Frye was the former owner of Mountain End Restaurant and the Station Craft Shop. She was a homemaker as well as a member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents Mrs. Frye is preceded in death by her husband Grady E. Frye, son, daughter in law, and granddaughter John, Madge, and Amanda Frye, and great granddaughter Annie Miller.

Survivors include daughter and son in law Jean and Dr. Bob Miller of Clarkesville, grandchildren Cary S. Miller and wife Denise, Alyson M. Stubbs and husband Warren, and Robin Miller, great grandchildren Sarah Jean and Burton Miller, Brittany and Austin Ward, Jacob, Henry, Audrey Mae, and Luke Stubbs, Emory and Jack Gale, and great great grandson Michael Miller Kroll, special friends Hellon Skelton, Evelyn Dalton, Linda Dailey, Myra Bohannon, Peggy Aguilar, Joy Baker, Barbra Raby, and Kerry Dunlap.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5495 Highway 197 S., Clarkesville, GA, on Tuesday, June 2, 2009, from 6-9 PM.
