Elizabeth Simpson Morrow, age 69 of Stone Trace, Gainesville, Georgia passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral service are scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with internment to be held in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Don Mulkey, Reverend Paul Wade, and Reverend Jon Beck will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morrow was born on October 31, 1939 in Tifton, Georgia to the late Perry and Velora Simpson. Mrs. Morrow graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1957, attended Valdosta Business School where she obtained her degree in 1959. After college she worked for Continental Insurance Company of Atlanta. Mrs. Morrow married to Eli Morrow August 25, 1961. She moved to Gainesville in 1965 and began working for Farm Bureau until 1978. She was a devote homemaker for 10 years then began working for Turner, Wood, and Smith Insurance Company in 1988. She then worked for State Farm Insurance Company and retired in 2006. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, Georgia, and during her retirement she volunteered for The Gateway House.
Mrs. Morrow is survived by her husband, Eli Morrow of Gainesville, her daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Mark Russell, her son, Keith Morrow, her granddaughters, April Russell, Chelsea Russell, Brooke Russell all of Gainesville, Georgia, her grandson, Patrick Morrow of Gainesville, her sister, Mary Lehmann of Calhoun, Georgia, her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Larry Moore of Gainesville, Florida, and her nephews Adam Clark of Williston, Florida, and Doug Clark of Gainesville, Florida.
