Lucy Poole

Lucy Poole, age 73 of Baldwin, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009, at her residence following a brief illness.

Born in Banks County on October 07, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Estelle Wood Poole. She was retired from Scovill Manufacturing as an inspector and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Tanksley and brother, Clay Poole.

Surviving are son, Terry Lee Poole of Baldwin; sister, Emma Poole of Baldwin; grandson, T. J. Poole of Toccoa: great grandson, Trey Poole of Toccoa; nephews and spouses, Tim & Sherry Tanksley of Baldwin and Jerry & Nancy Tanksley of Cornelia.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Sunday, May 31, 2009, from the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Terry Rice and Rev. Junior Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 & 7-9 pm on Saturday. The family is at the residence.
