Michael Wayne Adcock

Coach Mike Adcock, age 53, of Flowery Branch, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009. He was a member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. He loved fishing, playing golf, playing with his bulldogs and helping young kids succeed. He organized and led summer camps for kids basketball. Mike was an inspiration to thousands of lives though out his educational career. His love of coaching and building basketball programs carried him and his family throughout the state of Ga. while winning over 378 basketball games. His coaching stints included Turner County High School, Wilcox County High School, Glenwood School in Phenix City, Alabama, Jordan High School , West Hall High School , Rabun County High School , Flowery Branch High School and ended his career as the the Assistant Principle of Johnson High School. His love and dedication for coaching and building high school basketball programs has led him to many state appearances, through out the State of Georgia.





He was survived by his wife, Linda Lane Adcock, son, David Adcock , daughter Beth Adcock, brother, Phillip Adcock of Griffin, and several half brothers and sisters, his father, Larry Adcock of Griffin and Betty Brooks of Phenix City Alabama, father â
