Michael Allen Land

Michael Allen Land, age 58 of Cornelia, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born in Macon County, North Carolina on June 28, 1950, he was the son of the late William Henry and Elouise McConnell Land. He was a farmer and member of Cornelia First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed gardening and attending various yard sales. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Melvin Richard Land and Delmar Eugene Land.

Surviving are brothers, J. C. Land and William Henry Land, Jr. both of Cornelia; and aunt, Charlotte Carver of Cornelia.

Memorial services are 11:00 am Thursday, May 28, 2009, at Cornelia First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Blaine Walker officiating.
