Charlotte Elizabeth Smith

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Charlotte Elizabeth McMillan Smith, age 87, of Pendergrass, who passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009. Mrs. Smith, born in Hall County, was a daughter of the late, Charles Thomas McMillan and the late, Sara Elizabeth Wilson McMillan. She was a homemaker and a member of Belmont Baptist Church. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband: J. Byron Smith; granddaughter: Traci Lynn Smith; sister: Marylyn Davis; brothers: Robert, Charles T. Jr., and Wayne McMillan.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law: Randall and Diane Smith of Suwanee. Daughter: Sara Smith Bell of Jefferson. Son: Roger Byron Smith of Buford. Grandchildren: Mike and DeAnne Bell; Dr. Ben and Allyson Nessmith. Great-grandchildren: Falon, Luke, and Levi Bell; Katherine, Abigail, and Paul Nessmith.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from the Belmont Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Compton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Belmont Baptist Church Building Fund, 3635 Belmont Road Gainesville, Georgia 30507.
