James (Jim) Emmett Gray, Sr.

Ivie Funeral Home announces services for James (Jim) Emmett Gray, Sr., 58, of Maysville who died on Friday at NEGA Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Knoxville, TN, he was the son of the late Hubert and Zelma Bowers Gray. Mr. Gray was married to Mildred Lacy Gray of the residence and had worked as a security guard for U.S. Securities.

Survivors, along with his wife, include daughters, Angela Sue Hancox of Greenback, TN, Renae Higgins of Winchester, TN, and Janet Renee Smith of Knoxville, TN; sons, James Emmett Gray, Jr. of Rocksprings, GA, and William Dale Gray of Nicholson, GA; sisters, Sue Sampson of Illinois and Denna Jump of Tennessee; brothers, Don Welch of Tennessee and Carl Gray of Dawsonville, GA; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Jim Gray will be conducted on Monday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m.
