William (Bill) Oswald

Mr. William (Bill) Oswald, age 78 of Cumming, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009. He was born in Atlanta and attended Georgia Teachers College and Jacksonville University on basketball scholarships. Mr. Oswald played semi-professional basketball in Jacksonville. He was a US Air Force Veteran and retired from Coats and Clark Thread Company after 30 years.



Survivors include his wife, Mollie Oswald of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Rebekah and Jeff Buchanan of Jasper, Jennifer and Joe Shoemake of Cumming and Deana and Joey Smith of Cumming; sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Roger Drohan of Titusville, FL; 7 grandchildren, Misty Stone, Jonathan Buchanan, Casey Shoemake, Savannah Shoemake, Alex Smith, Jacob Smith and Sydney Smith; 3 great grandchildren, Madison Stone, Alaina Stone and Jake Buchanan.



Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16th at 1:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Preuss officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Friday, May 15th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
