Kayla Nicole Holmberg

Miss Kayla Nicole Holmberg, age 25, of Latty Road, Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 4:30 pm at the Timberidge Baptist Church with internment to follow in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery. Reverends Lamar Kastner, Dwayne Ryles, Chris York, Alvin Burns, and Vernon London will officiate the funeral service. The family will receive friends Monday, May 4, 2009 from 6:00-9:00 pm, Tuesday, May 5, 2009 from 12:00-4:00 pm, and 6:00- 9:00pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home North-Riverside Chapel.

Miss Holmberg was born in Fulton County and was a lifelong resident of Hall County. She was an employee at the Goddard School. She was a member of the Timberidge Baptist Church and attended White Hall Baptist Church. Miss Holmberg is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harry Vernon Stowers, her paternal grandmother, Patricia Holmberg, her neice Courtney Dawn Scarbrough, and her cousin, Nicholas Eli Smith.

Miss Holmberg is survived by her mother, Gail Stowers Scroggs, of Lula Georgia, her father, Richard Henry Holmberg of Lawrenceville, Georgia, her step-father, Randall Scroggs of Lula Georgia, her step-mother, Pamela Murray Holmberg of Lawrenceville, Georgia, her maternal grandmother, Margaret Stowers of Norcross, Georgia, her paternal grandfather, Einar Holmberg of Lawrenceville, Georgia, her son Marcus Bryon Holmberg of Lula, Georgia, her sister Misty Dawn Holmberg of Norcross Georgia, her sister, Haley Holmberg of Lawrenceville, Georgia, her brother, Ric Holmberg of Lula, Georgia, her nephew Austin Scarbrough of Ila, Georgia, her nephew, Damean Holmberg of Norcross, Georgia, her nephew, Anthony Holmberg of Norcross, Georgia, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Flowers will be received but those who wish to make a contribution may do so to the Marcus Holmberg Fund at United Community Bank.
