Evans Funeral Home announces the death of

Wilda Harvil, age 89, of Commerce, who passed away on Friday, May 1, 2009. Ms. Harvil, born in Jackson County, was a daughter of the late, Claude Harvil and the late, Ethel Whitmire Harvil; and worked as a secretary with the Commerce News.

Survivors include her cousins: Charles Whitmire, Bill Whitmire, Joan Sizemore, Mildred Youmans, and Mike Whitmire. Uncle: John Whitmire.

A Graveside service will be held 2 PM Sunday, May 3, 2009 from the Oconee Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gene Carlan officiating.
