Ray E. Jones

Mr. Ray E. Jones of Flowery Branch,age 79, passed away in Rome on Tuesday, April 21,2009. He was a member of McEver Road Baptist Church. He work at General Motors in Doraville for thirty years starting at the age of eightteen. He loved to travel and was a carpenter,and a concrete finisher, He was a car enthusiast and owned a 1969 vintage camaro and won 85 car shows. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty nine years of marriage, Frances G. Jones and his parents Carson and Mozell Jones. He is survived by his son Tim Jones and wife Beth of Rome Ga, daughter, Marcia Gale of Dallas, Ga. brother Ryman C. Jones and wife Alicia of Richmond, Va., brother Randy Jones and wife Joyce of Jefferson, sisters, Ruth Williams and husband Frank of Buford, Rilla Bell of Gainesville, Runette Mathis and husband George of Buford, Rachel Graham and husband Gene of Buford., grandchildren, Amy, Alicia, Eric, Spencer and seven great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 A.M. April 24,2009 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating Dr. Charles Britt and James Mills. Interment Memorial Park South Cemetery.
