Mary Elizabeth Eure

Mary Elizabeth Eure, age 87, of Gainesville passed away Saturday April 18, 2009.
Mrs. Eure was born February 10, 1922 in Davis, West Virginia to the late William Davis and Bertha Blanche Smith Wolfe. She was a homemaker and a foster mother to over 75 newborn babies. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville and The Strugglers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Eure was preceded in death by her brothers, Glenn Wolfe, and Houston Wolfe and sister, Ellen Wolfe Lanier, and grandson Steven Jay Buffington.

She was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. You never needed to wonder how she felt about anything. Liz was not a pretentious person by any means. Hers is a family who love each other and who love to laugh. Family get togethers were held often and the entire house was filled with music and laughter.
