Dorothy Poole McClain, 85, of Pensacola, Florida and Roswell, Georgia, died April 13, 2009. Born in Cumberland, Maryland, she was the daughter of Margaret Iser Poole and Thornton Ellsworth Poole. Dorothy was the youngest of 11 children and graduated from Fort Hill High School, Cumberland, Md., in 1942. She was very proud of her academic, athletic and dramatic awards at Fort Hill. She was a loyal member of Women of the Moose Club, Chapter 914, Cumberland, Md., since 1954. Dorothy served her country in WWII by working at Warner Robbins Aid Depot in Warner Robbins, Ga., 1942-1943. She later retired from K-Mart, Pensacola, Highway 90 West store, in 1987. She later retired from K-Mart, Pensacola, Highway 90 West store, in 1987. She is survived by daughters Gloria Wojtaszek, Stockbridge, Ga., Maryann Langston, Little Rock, Ar., and son, James Floyd, Cumming, Ga., five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation arrangements by Byars Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
