Eulene Cantrell

Mrs. Eulene Cantrell, age 69, of Dahlonega, GA died Monday April 13, 2009 at the Northeast Ga. Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a brief illness.

Mrs. Cantrell was born in White County, GA Feb. 17, 1940 and had lived in Lumpkin County for many years. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Dahlonega. She worked at the Burlington Pine Tree Plant in Dahlonega for a number of years and retired from North Ga. College and State University as a custodian.

Mrs. Cantrell was the daughter of the late Otis Cleveland and Maude York Cleveland and was also preceded in death by sisters, Judy King and Barbara Ann Garrett.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Boyd Cantrell, Dahlonega, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Dennis Thompson, Dahlonega, GA, Patty and Greg Lingerfelt, Dahlonega, GA,;son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Teresa Cantrell, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Louise Eller, Clarkesville, GA and Gertrude Edge, Cleveland, GA,; grandchildren, Brad Thompson, Chad Thompson, Raymond Cantrell, Chastity Cantrell, Craig Lingerfelt, and Whitney Lingerfelt,; great-grandchildren, Cohen Cantrell and Riley Cantrell. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cantrell are scheduled for 2 PM Thursday April 16, 2009 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Dahlonega. The remains will be placed in state at the church at 1:30 PM. Rev. Lance Fuller, Rev. Dean Bryant, and Rev. Lyman Caldwell will officiate.

Interment will follow in Dahlonega Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 PM until 9 PM, all day on Wednesday, and again on Thursday until the time of service.
