Julie Mason

Mrs. Julie Mason age 74, of Dahlonega, GA died Sunday April 12, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Mason was born in White County, GA Feb. 12, 1935 and had lived most of her life in Lumpkin County. She was a homemaker and was a member of Philippi Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

She was the daughter of the late John H. Dean and Carrie May Thomas Dean and was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Mason; sisters, Fannie Mattox and Bonnie Abernathy; brothers, Dewey Dean and Frank Dean.

She is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Barbara and Les Baldwin, Gainesville, GA, Linda Roak, Dahlonega, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Betty Mason, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Mary Brady, Dahlonega, GA and Hettie Christy, Dawsonville, GA; brother, Bill Dean, Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Jenny Witcher, Katharina Milsapps, Kevin Mason, Sally Anderson, Carrie Mason, Mike Dixon, Stoy Baldwin, and Heidi Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Joseph Anderson, Isack Anderson, Jaden Witcher, and Abigail Milsapps. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mason are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday April 14, 2009 at the Philippi Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. Tim Hicks and Rev. Jerry Whitlock will officiate.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 7 PM until 9 PM, all day on Monday, and again on Tuesday until the time of service.
