Daniel Lewis Biggers

Mr. Daniel Lewis Biggers, age 80 of Cleveland passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Biggers was born on December 4, 1928 in Dekalb County to the late Earl J. and Ada Biggers. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Wilson and J.T. Biggers, and sisters Ophelia Seay and Pauline Bradley.
Survivors include: Wife: Peggy Biggers, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law Mitchell and Charmane Biggers, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law Russell and Laura Biggers, Toccoa; son and daughter-in-law Nelson and Denyse Biggers, Cleveland; grandson and granddaughter-in-law Heath and Tasha Biggers, Cleveland; grandson Dustin Biggers, Cleveland; granddaughter Emilee Biggers, Toccoa; grandson Preston Biggers, Cleveland, and grandson Mason Biggers, Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law Morris and Sybill Biggers, Cleveland; sister and brother-in-law Sidney and Sarah Graves, Gainesville, and several nieces and nephews.
He and his wife were married in 1950 and Mr. Biggers was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
He was a farmer who took pride in taking care of his cattle and the pastures and roads around his home. He grew up in Tucker, Ga., but moved to Cleveland in 1951, living the rest of his life on the farm.
He and Mrs. Biggers spent 58 years farming, beginning with chickens and beef cattle, gradually phasing out the poultry and continuing with cattle. He also was a bus driver for many years for the White County school system.
He was interested in politics, locally and nationally, and his family and friends always knew where he stood. He voted in every local, state and national election since he reached voting age. He served on the boards of the Georgia Farm Bureau, the Farmerâ
