CW4 Sidney Carroll Cowan, age 76, of Cumming, GA, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009. He was a member of Ophir Baptist Church. Mr. Cowan served 20 years with the U.S. Army as a Helicopter Pilot and Maintenance Officer, retiring as a Regular Army Chief Warrant Officer, Grade Four, August 1971. During two tours of combat in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star on two occasions (for Valor) the Air Medal with 16 Oak Leaf Clusters, two with â
