Calvin Totherow

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Calvin Luther Totherow, age 78 of Cleveland. Mr. Totherow passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009 in Commerce following a period of declining health.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 30, 2009 from White Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary English, the Rev. Carlton Allen, the Rev. Gene Batson and the Rev. Lee Richey officiating. Interment will follow in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the White county Color Guard.

Mr. Totherow was born on January 18, 1931 in Union County to Ralph Henry Totherow and Floy Neal Totherow. In 1950 he entered the United States Air Force where he was stationed with the Strategic Air Command (SAC) where he was a tail gunner on the B 52 Bomber. When he retired from the Air Force in 1971, he was employed with the U. S. Postal Service for a brief time, afterwards he worked with Rogers Brothers Construction and Connieâ
