SMSGT Charles E. Bogard

Graveside services for SMSgt Charles E. Bogard, USAF Ret., age 86, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 2:00 PM from the Hillside Gardens in Clarkesville with Pastor Mike Franklin officiating.

Born July 25, 1922, Mr. Bogard was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Bogard. He was retired from the United States Air Force where he was over the motor corps, and he served during WWII.. Mr. Bogard attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters Josaphine, Maxine, and Esther, and three brothers Harold, George, and Ernest.

Survivors include his wife Gladys Ellen Martin Bogard of Cornelia, step daughter Louise Lindler of Cornelia, sister Louise Weaver of Parkersburg, West Virginia, brother Kenneth Bogard of Union, Missouri, as well as four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
