Mathey R. Wilson

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00pm on Friday, March 27, 2009 at Harmony Hall Baptist Church for Mrs. Mathey Wilson, age 71, of Gillsville. She will lie-in-state at the church from 1:30pm until funeral time. Burial will be in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. John Kinsey will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday March 26th from 11am-9pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Wilson passed away on Tuesday, March 24th at the Northeast Ga. Medical Center following an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born June 14, 1937 in Laurinburge, N.C. to the late James & Cartha Skipper Brehm. She worked as a lunch room lady for the Hall County School System and was a member of Harmony Hall Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her husband Horace Wilson and a daughter Patricia Turlington.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her sons John Turlington and Glenn Turlington both of St. Pauls, N.C., and William Stratton of Lula; daughters Dahlia Atkins of Lula, and Shyla Curtin of Gillsville; brothers Sam Brehm of Hope Mills, N.C., Johnny Brehm of Rock Fish, N.C., and Leslie Brehm of Hope Mills, N.C.; sisters Clara Hair of Linden, N.C., Lois Terry of Parton, N.C., and Irene Bostic of Hope Mills, N.C.; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
