Emma Lee Chamblee

Emma Lee Chamblee, 80, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Monday, March 23, 2009. She was born in Forsyth County, Ga. on February 16, 1929; she had lived most of her life in Hall County. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Linie Day Pirkle. She was a retired from poultry worker and homemaker and she was a member of Chestatee Baptist Church in Hall County.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Chamblee, daughter, Judith C. Smallwood, sister, Eunice Workeman and brothers, Andrew Jackson Pirkle and J.C Monroe Pirkle.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law; Clifton and Linda Chamblee of Dahlonega, Harvey Chamblee and Randy Chamblee of Clarkesville, Johnny and Gloria Chamblee of Gainesville, daughter; Winnie Williams of Clarkesville, daughter and son-in-law; Sarah and James Threlkeld of Murrayville, son-in-law; Charles Smallwood of Lakeland, FL. 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one great great -grandchild and sister; Elizabeth Baker of Forsyth Co. sister and brother-in-law Louise & L.D. Smallwood of Gainesville, brother and sister-in-law; James and Jonell Pirkle of Forsyth County.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 10:00AM until 8:00PM at Little & Davenport, 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA.

Funeral service will be Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 2:00PM at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris Ellis. Interment will be in Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery, Forsyth County.
