Ronald Maxlande Thomas

Ronald Maxlande Thomas, age 76, of Cumming, GA, died March 22, 2009. Mr. Thomas, a loving and kind, husband and father, was a graduate of North Clayton High School, and served 4 years in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He attended Cumming Baptist Church. Mr. Thomas was worked as a Systems Analyst for the State of Georgia and was involved with computers most of his life before retiring from DOAS after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by, daughter, Melanie Thomas, brothers, W. Donald Thomas, Chandler Thomas, and Douglas Thomas.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Laquita Thomas, of Cumming, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Joel & Shirley Thomas, of Palmetto, GA, daughters, JoBeth Matchett, of Carrollton, GA, Amy Thomas, of Pacifica, CA, daughter & son-in-law , Pam & Mike Fredebeil, of Jasper, GA, son and daughter-in-law, Robert & Gina Studdard, of Flowery Branch, GA, sisters, Marlene &( Donald) SHetter, of Walnut Grove, GA, Gail Payne, of Fern Park, FL, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 6:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at the McDonald & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow on Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Little Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Ideal, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
