Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:30pm, Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Little
and Davenport Funeral Home chapel for Margaret Davis Kesler, age 90, of
Gainesville. Dr. Bill Coates will officiate and Mrs. Kesler's Grandson,
Kendall Hunt, of Florida will provide the eulogy. The family will have
visitation beginning at 2:00pm, Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Little and
Davenport Funeral Home until the service. Mrs. Kesler passed away Thursday,
following a brief illness.
Mrs. Kesler was born on November 22, 1918 in Parrott, GA. She moved to
Gainesville in 1954 where she was active in GA's and WMU with Central
Baptist Church. Later she and her husband joined First Baptist Church on
Green Street.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Branson Autry (B.A.) Kesler founder
of Kesler Tire in Gainesville. She is also preceded in death by her
brother, James Davis.
Margaret Davis Kesler is survived by her children, daughter and son-in-law,
Joyce Kesler Hunt and Charles K. Hunt of Tucker, son and daughter-in-law,
Gary and Kay Kesler of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and
Marjorie Kesler of Gainesville and daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Benny
Reed of Hawkinsville and special mention to Leon and Brenda Smith of
Gainesville. Her Grandchildren: Andrea Hunt Tyree and Ken Tyree, Alison
Kendra Hunt, Kendall and Alison Joy Hunt, Ashley Hunt Martin and Seth
Martin, Kristen Honaker, Jennifer and William Bagwell, Rebecca Avra, Walt
and Mercy Avra, Ben and Angie Reed, Branson Reed and Amy Shideler, and Brady
and Emily Reed. Her Great Grandchildren: Jesse Walter, Justin Walter, Jared
Walter, Jessica Tyree, Will and Emmaline Bagwell, Bliss and Thomas Avra,
Lyla Martin, Dee Dee Reed, Gabriel Shideler, Logan and Taylor Hunnicutt and
Ryleigh Reed. Her surviving siblings: brother and sister-in-law, T. Richard
and Jimmy Davis of Gainesville, sister, Rebecca Thurmond of Cumming and
brother and sister-in-law, Durwood and June Davis of FL and many nieces and
nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to NEGA Hospice or The
Ministry of Caring with First Baptist Church.
