Eula Mae Dockery

Mrs. Eula Mae Dockery, age 68, of Murrayville, GA died Thursday March 19, 2009 at her residence following an extended illness.


Mrs. Dockery was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County, was a homemaker and member of Solid Rock Baptist Church in White County.


She was the daughter of the late Boyd Watson Barrett and Lillie Fae Garner Barrett and was also preceded in death by her husband, James Caris Dockery; son, Daryl Dockery; brother, Larry Barrett; sister-in-law, Jane Barrett; brother, Tommy Barrett.


Mrs. Dockery is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Sue Dockery, Swansea, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Keith Holman, Murrayville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Marie Harkins Couch and James Couch, Murrayville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, MacArthur Barrett, Dahlonega, GA; Russell Barrett and Doris Ivester, Dahlonega, GA; David Lamar Barrett and Wanda Foster, Cleveland, GA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Hazel and Eugene Pruitt, Dahlonega, GA; brother-in-law, Vernon Dockery, Cleveland, GA; sisters-in-law, Margaret Moose, Cleveland, GA; Betty McEntyre, Cleveland, GA; grandchildren, Austin and Ansley Holman, and Tori Dockery. A large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.


Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Friday March 20, 2009 at the Solid Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Garner officiating.


Interment will follow in the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 PM until 9 PM and again on Friday until the time of service.


Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
