Thurmond Hicks

Thurmond Hicks, 68, of Maysville, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2009 at his residence following an extended illness.


He was born August 20, 1940, in Hall County, to the late Leroy and Odessa West Hicks. He had lived most of his life in Jackson County. He was retired from Stork-Gamco Company and was a member of Calvary Cross Baptist Church.


Mr. Hicks is survived by his wife, Audrey Hicks of Maysville; son, William Hicks of Lula; son, Eugene Hicks of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Danny Ferguson of Gainesville;daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Stacey Sims of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Missy Hicks of Murrayville; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Renee Hicks of Mt. Airy; son, Andy Hicks of Winder; sister and brother-in-law, Daisy and Bobby Smith of Gainesville; 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren;other relatives and friends.


Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Little & Davenport, 355 Dawsonville Hwy, Gainesville, GA.


Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Cross Baptist Church. Rev. Jerry Orr will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
