Callie Marie Miles

Callie Marie Miles, age 56, of Dahlonega, GA died Sunday March 15, 2009 at the Northeast Ga. Medical Center in Gainesville, GA following a sudden illness.

Ms. Miles was born in Lumpkin County, GA March 16, 1952 and had lived there most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dickson Miles, and sister, Mamie Lee.

She is survived by her son, Tony Porter, Jenkinsburg, GA; Mother, Marginia Grizzle, Dahlonega, GA; father, Carson Wood, Dahlonega, GA; stepdaughter, Alexis Julianne Eaton, Waldorf, MD; sister, Marsha Lynn Hope, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Harley Madison Porter, Skylar Eaton, Matthew Eaton, and Erin Eaton. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 3 PM Wednesday March 18, 2009 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel.

Rev. Scott Brown will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM until 3 PM.
