Mrs. Margie Ruth Garrison Pritchett
Mrs. Margie Ruth Garrison Pritchett, 79 of Gillsville died Sunday March 15, 2009 at Altus Hospice in Atlanta.
A lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Pritchett was the daughter of the late B.N. and Dona Hooper Garrison. She was retired from New Holland Mill with 54 years of service. She was a member of the Gillsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include her Son and Daughter-in-law; Dennis and Shirley Pritchett, Flowery Branch; Granddaughter; Jennifer Pritchett, Norcross; Step-Son and family, Will Pritchett, Nashville, TN; Step-Son and family, Allen Pritchett, Gainesville; Step-Daughter and family, Jan Pritchett, Lula; Sister, Betty Evans, Dawsonville; Sister and Brother-in-law, Ruby and Tom Benton, Commerce; Brothers and Sisters-in-law; Paul and Mildred Garrison, Gillsville; Ed and Valworth Garrison, Gainesville; Sisters-in-law; Estelle Whitfield, Chicopee and Rosa Lee Parker, Oakwood; and Special caregiver, Dale Moore. A number of nieces, nephews, in-laws and other relatives also survive.
Mrs. Pritchett is preceded in death by her husband, Willie P. Pritchett; brothers, Turner Garrison, Ralph Garrison, Bass Garrison and Henry Garrison; sisters, Grace Langley, Oneida Garrison and Lou Bell Fleming.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday March 18, 2009 at the Gillsville Baptist Church. The Rev. Dave Channell and the Rev. Bill Calhoun will officiate. Interment will follow in the Gillsville Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 1:30 p.m. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends at the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Tuesday March 17, 2009 from 5:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted but those desiring may make memorial contributions to Eagle Ranch, P.O. Box 7200 Chestnut Mountain, Georgia 30502 in memory of Mrs. Pritchett.
