Ghita J. Summer

Ghita J. Summer, age 77, of Dayton, OH, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Covenant House.

Ghita was formerly a secretary at the University of Illinois to the Dean of the Pharmacy College and later worked in the Emergency Room at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. She was a member of Temple Israel and the Good Samaritan Hospital Ladies Auxiliary.
Ghita is survived by her husband of 56 years, Dr. Mory Summer; daughter, Jennifer Summer-Berenblit of Antwerp, Belgium; son & daughter-in-law, Daniel & Chandelle Summer of Gainesville, GA; sister, Beverly Tauber of Los Angeles, CA; brother, David Zeller of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Joey, Jack, Jake, Jeff, Georgia, Josh & Sam; special friends, Tom & Laura Lee Evans of Cincinnati, OH, Marge Krisher, Kathy Black, Marlene Carne & Bunny Laderman all of Dayton; numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike with Rabbi Dr. Hillel Fox officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at the Alta Vista Cemetery in Gainesville, GA. with services entrusted to the Little-Davenport Funeral Home.
