Jeanette Yvonne Davis Adams, passed away at her residence on March 12, 2009 following an extended illness. She was a member of New Holland Baptist Church for 45 years and a current member of Blackshear Place Baptist Church. She retired in 1991 from New Holland Mill.
Jeanette was born on July 5, 1929 at 1 Myrtle Street, New Holland, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Tom and Lily Davis and the daughter-in-law of the late Howard and Julia Adams. She was preceded in death by 5 siblings.
She was the wife of Verner Adams and they were to celebrate 62 years of marriage on March 29, 2009. They met at Roses on the square in Gainesville in 1944 and were married in Dawsonville, Georgia. They lived in New Holland until 1965 and moved to the Oakwood area where they remained.
She is also survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Charles & Pam Adams of Gainesville, daughter & son-in-law, Becky & Will Farmer of Murrayville. â
