Mary Frances Shields

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Mary Frances Shields, age 85, of Jacksonville, formerly of the Dry Pond Community, who passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. Mrs. Shields, born in Jacksonville, Fl, was a homemaker; and formerly a member of Dry Pond United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter: Linda Joan Rice of Atlanta, sons: Joe David Shields of Jacksonville, and Jimmy R. Shields of Jacksonville. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Sister: Sue Carithers of Jefferson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, March 14, 2009 from the Dry Pond Methodist Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating. The body will lie in state from 12 until 1 PM at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
