Carl T. Mitchell, age 73, of Buford, Georgia, passed away suddenly Thursday, March 12, 2009. Mr. Mitchell has been cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 5:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Rev. Jerry Bennett will officiate.
The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the charity of your choice in memory of Carl T. Mitchell.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Balcolm and Elsie Mitchell and brother Henry Allen Mitchell. Survivors include sons, Jimmy Mitchell, Pendergrass; Terry Mitchell, Auburn; sons and daughters in-law, Tommy and Annette Mitchell, Lester, AL; Todd and Pam Mitchell, Buford; daughter, Chelsey Mitchell, Buford; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers in-law, Jane and W.D. Harner, Rockwood, TN; Juanita and Gary Mitchell, Albertville, AL; sister, Deloit Mitchell, Tallahassee, FL; brother and sister in-law, Louis and Erma Mitchell; Stone Mountain, brothers, Bobby Mitchell, Auburn; Jerry Mitchell, Minor Hill, TN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Mitchell was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 225 for 50 years.
