Paul T. Russell, age 35, of Atlanta, died Monday, March 9, 2009, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Paul is survived by his wife of nine years, Dawn Chan Russell; Son, Alexander Chan Russell, 4; Parents Mr. and Mrs. Francis Russell, Sumter, SC; Sister Julie Russell Hodler and husband Scott and their daughter, Dakota Grace of Johnson City, TN; Sister Lynne Ellen Russell of Goose Creek, SC; Maternal Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Garrison of Asheville, NC.
Paul worked at Fidelity National, and then moved to Colonial Bank as a Branch Manager/Area Manager. He ultimately moved into the exclusive role of Vice President responsible for Retail Banking. He was completing his final year at the University of Georgia Banking School. Paul was a member of the Forsyth and Gwinnett County Chambers of Commerce, and was the coordinator of the AJC News for Kids for Colonial Bank.
All are invited to attend his funeral service Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 2pm, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford. The family will receive friends from noon until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Paul T. Russell Memorial Fund for the Benefit of Alexander C. Russellâ
